The Alpha Active® 3 pressure redistribution mattress overlay system offers a number of features designed to deliver effective pressure ulcer prevention and management for the home and community care environments.
With two modes of operation, Alpha Active 3 assists with prevention and treatment protocols, whilst accommodating clinical and resident/patient needs.
Active/alternating mode: periodically redistributing pressure away from vulnerable areas, by alternately inflating and deflating cells beneath the resident/patient. Ideal for prevention in high risk residents/patients, particularly those cannot be frequently repositioned 1.
Reactive/static mode: cell pressure is equalized to redistribute the body weight over a greater surface area. Ideal for residents/patients in rehabilitation or that cannot tolerate a moving surface.
- Ergonomic, compact and quiet pump, which is ideal for the community care facility and the home
- Variable pressure control settings allowing individual pressures to be set via a simple control unit
- Static head cells, which enhances head section comfort and stability
- Modular construction, which enables easier cleaning and maintenance
- Audio and visual alarms, including a low pressure, power fail alarm and pump fault alarms
- Easy-to-use transportation function, in which cell pressures are automatically equalized
