Meet Jake, Our Digital Marketing Intern
Jake is already fully immersed in the On The Mend team and the On The Mend way! We’re thrilled to have his creativity and enthusiasm onboard.
Where Did You Grow Up?
I grew up in Brookfield, CT with my mom, dad, and sister. My grandma lived next door, so we’ve always been a close-knit family.
What Have You Done Professionally?
Professionally, I started by working in my dad’s warehouse. Later, I gained valuable experience at Trump National. Eventually, I joined the WVU Formula SAE race team as part of their media crew, which helped shape my interest in marketing and media.
What Has Been Your Favorite Job So Far?
Without a doubt, my favorite job has been working as a marketing intern here at OTM. The spontaneous nature of the workday keeps things exciting. Every morning is a surprise—I never know where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing, and I love that variety.
How Do You Spend Your Free Time?
In my free time, I enjoy golfing with my dad. Additionally, I like to read and write—I’m currently working on writing a book. I’m also a huge baseball fan (go Mets!), and I love fishing and hanging out with my friends on weekends.
What Are Your Goals for 2025?
My biggest goal for 2025 is to finish writing my book and get it published by the end of the year. After graduating in Spring 2026, I plan to pursue a full-time career in marketing or sales.
Why Do You Enjoy Working at On The Mend?
What I love most about OTM is knowing that my work makes a difference. Whether I’m doing deliveries, pickups, or working on a campaign, I’m helping people—and that’s incredibly fulfilling. Plus, the supportive and welcoming work culture here is something truly special.
Favorite Food and Restaurants?
I love family steak dinners, especially at Black Angus Steakhouse. Sharing a great meal with loved ones is one of life’s best joys.
Favorite Travel Destination?
The Veneto region of Italy is my favorite place I’ve visited—I spent three amazing months there studying abroad. A close second is Amsterdam in the Netherlands. In the future, I’d love to explore southern Italy, Ireland, and more of the United States.
