Meet Jake, our Digital Marketing Intern. Jake is already fully in the On The Mend team and the On The Mend way! We are so excited to have his creative experience!
1. Where did you grow up, how big of family?
Brookfield, CT with my mom, dad, and sister (Grandma next door)
2. What have you done professionally?
I worked in my dad’s warehouse. Later, I gained experience at Trump National. Later, I joined the WVU Formula SAE race team as part of their media crew.
3. Favorite job & why?
My favorite job so far has to be working as a marketing intern here at OTM because of the spontaneous work schedule. I like being surprised every morning with what I’ll be doing for that day. I truly never know where I will be during any given day and I love that.
4. How do you like spending free time?
I enjoy golfing with my dad. In addition, I like to read and write and I am currently working on writing a book.
I like to watch baseball (Huge Meta fan)
I like to go fishing and hang out with my friend on the weekend.
5. 2025 goal(s)?
My biggest goad for 2025 is to finish my book and have it published. I am aiming to have that accomplished by the end of 2025 and ready for the new year.
After I graduate in spring 2026, I plan on getting a job in the field of marketing/ sales.
6. Why do you like working at OTM?
I like working at OTM because I know that whatever I am doing, whether it’s deliveries/ pickups, or working on the marketing campaigns, I know that I am helping people. That alone is very fulfilling and I leave work everyday knowing that I positively impacted someone’s life. Also, the work culture at OTM is incredibly welcoming, and supportive.
7. Favorite restaurant or things to cook & eat?
I love family steak dinners at Black Angus steak house.
8. Favorite Travel Destination?
My favorite place that I have visited is the Veneto region of Italy where I studied abroad for 3 months. A close second is Amsterdam, Netherlands. In the future, I would love to visit southern Italy, Ireland, and the rest of the United States that I haven’t yet visited
