We’re grateful for our continued growth, which allows us to bring even more value to our team and customers. Please help us welcome our newest team member, Monica Diaz! Not only does Monica exemplify 5-star customer service, but she also plays a key role behind the scenes, supporting our office and bookkeeping operations.
Where did you grow up, and how big is your family?
I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic in a close-knit family of five. I’m the youngest of three sisters, and our bond remains strong to this day.
What have you done professionally?
Back home, I studied law and worked in customs, where I gained valuable experience in both customer service and finance. When I moved to the U.S., I started over—first by learning English, then by pursuing a career in accounting. I earned my associate degree and am just four classes away from completing my bachelor’s. I also worked in banking for five years, progressing from teller to more advanced roles.
Favorite Job and Why?
Before joining OTM, my favorite job was working in customs. I loved assisting people with complex documentation and guiding them through processes they often found confusing.
How do you like spending your free time?
I enjoy exploring new places, spending time with my family, and cooking meals that bring us together.
What are your goals for 2025?
I hope to continue growing professionally and to become a bigger part of the community we serve.
