When I thought that a pressure relieving mattress that I had purchased for my wife was malfunctioning immediate same day service was provided. Notwithstanding that I was incorrect and didn’t understand the mattress function involved, without any hesitation On The Mend provided an in-home inspection of the mattress and a thorough explanation of the issue without exhibiting any annoyance relative to my incorrect inquiry. My elderly father forgot the attachments to his oxygen machine over his Thanksgiving visit from upstate. We realized -- after hours -- that he'd left them home. We contacted "On the Mend", and as expected given the hour, the call went to voicemail. I tried the alternate number on the message and Liam, the owner, picked up. He offered to meet me at the Mt. Kisco location -- an hour away from where he was enjoying a pre-Thanksgiving gathering -- to meet me to open up the store in order to provide the necessary parts to my father. My mother suffered a debilitating stroke and on 2 occasions Liam O’Keefe came out to their home and was able to outfit her with a lift, shower chair, hospital bed, special mattress and a new wheelchair. When she refused a wheelchair from another employee he came out again himself to help her to choose the best option for her! His concern for not only her comfort but also her skin was extraordinary. On the mend came into my life during a very difficult time. Liam was there to help me make important decisions. This was something I never had to do by myself before. Liam promised if there was any problem, workers would be there to fix it. I did have a problem, called Liam in the morning and the problem was fixed that very same afternoon. The stair lifts were installed by the young men Olin and Steven. Derek, the electrician came a few days later to make sure that the wiring was tucked discretely away. Kenny and Hatuse followed, installing our new walk in shower. Again, attention to all the small details. And last, Frank and Brian. They were the plumbers. Their work not being seen but professionally done. What could have been a nightmare was not. These gentlemen settled all my worries. My home was in excellent hands.

They were a Godsend to our family in making sure that when our 90 year old father was released from rehab after a fall, his home was properly outfitted with all of the equipment he needs to live safety and independently in his apartment, including grab bars, safety railings, and adaptive equipment in the bathroom to protect from future falls. We ended up going back a few more times to get a good fit for orthopedic shoes and each visit felt like a reunion. Christine also noted a common toenail issue among the elderly and suggested that my mother visit a podiatrist - which she did and we're grateful for that input.Store is well stocked and the owner, Liam and the other employees are super friendly. When my fiancé got badly injured playing basketball just before our trip and we landed and he could barely walk we didn’t know what we would do. Driving from New York to Connecticut we tried calling multiple places to rent a wheelchair while he was in such pain. None were helpful. One place we called showed were arriving 15 minutes after they closed and they could not help us. Most were dismissive including a hospital that had absolutely no recommendations.Then we reached Marsi. What a genuinely kind and helpful person. I didn’t think I would need one but the pain was so terrible and crutches were AWFUL so I called on the mend. They were closed already but they told me they had one and brought it to me on their way home THAT DAY. I was only supposed to need it for a couple weeks. However, I had to go back in for emergency surgery to clean out an infection so I needed the scooter longer than I had planned. They called to check on me to see if I needed it longer seeing how I was being charged. They were so unbelievably kind. I ended up just buying the scooter from them. I can’t say enough about this company. I called this morning looking to rent a hospital bed for my mom who fractured her ribs in a fall. I reached Steve quickly & he was helpful & even suggested a reclining lift chair because of her injuries. We went with the chair & they delivered it within hours of when we called. These guys really helped me out in a pinch. I needed a new hospital bed in a hurry. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly and responsive to me asking a million questions. They dismantled and took away the old bed, set up the new bed, and left the room cleaner than they found it. They even stopped by a few days later and swapped the wheels for me when I realized I needed the brakes on opposite corners. They absolutely earned their five star status and are going to be my first call going forward.

We needed a lift delivered the day after Christmas for my mom’s broken leg. Many of the places I checked were closed, but not these guys. They picked up the phone, stopped what they were doing, and brought a high quality lift to us within a couple of hours! All I can say is Steve was a God send to me and my wife. After a hip joint replacement surgery I came home and was in need of some equipment that without it you could not survive while recovering, After a long and difficult day dealing with insurance company personnel and their affiliates my wife and I were both tired and very frustrated and we had nothing to show for our efforts. I then called On the Mend and Steve answered my call. Not only did he have what I needed he also delivered it to my home less than 3 hours later. He and his partner came in and set everything up for me and my wife, they went so far above and beyond the call I was amazed at this customer service in this day and age. I cannot recommend them any higher. If you are in need these are your best chance at a humane recovery in home. Even my physical therapist was very impressed with my set up that they provided. I could go on about this because I feel so blessed to have found these guys. Please believe me.
